30 Day Return Policy

At Modern Porch Co., we want you to be happy with your purchase. If you're not satisfied, you can return your item within 30 days of receiving it for a refund, as long as the product is unused, in its original packaging, and meets the other conditions listed below. If you bought the item from an authorized dealer, please follow their return policy.

RETURN POLICY CONDITIONS

You can return your Modern Porch Co. purchase within 30 days of delivery for any reason, as long as:

  • This return policy only applies to items bought directly from modernporchco.com.
  • The product must be unused, undamaged, and returned in its original packaging (including all boxes, cardboard, foam, etc.).
  • You must request the return within 30 days of delivery by emailing us at support@modernporchco.com to get a return authorization number. Once approved, you'll receive a return authorization number with instructions on how to return the item.
  • The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the item back to Modern Porch Co. A copy of the packing slip or original receipt must be included with the return. We may refuse returns that don’t have a return authorization number or the necessary paperwork. Additionally, a 10% restocking fee will be charged to cover processing and handling costs on all returns.

If the return doesn't meet these conditions, we may only offer a partial refund or no refund, depending on the situation.

Modern Porch Co. does not accept returns on products purchased outside of modernporchco.com. If you bought the item from an authorized retailer, their return policy applies — please contact them directly for assistance.

EXCHANGE POLICY CONDITIONS

You can exchange your Modern Porch Co. item within 30 days of delivery for any reason, as long as:

  • This exchange policy only applies to items bought directly from modernporchco.com.
  • The product must be unused, undamaged, and returned in its original packaging (including all boxes, cardboard, foam, etc.).
  • You must request the exchange within 30 days of delivery by emailing us at support@modernporchco.com to get a return authorization number. Once approved, you'll receive a return authorization number with instructions on how to exchange the item.
  • The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the item back to Modern Porch Co. A copy of the packing slip or original receipt must be included with the exchange. We may refuse exchanges that don’t have a return authorization number or the necessary paperwork.

Once we receive the returned item, we'll issue a full refund minus a 10% restocking fee. This restocking fee will be fully credited back to you once you place a new order. You can either place the new order directly on our website or request an invoice to pay against. Note: No restocking fee will be charged if a replacement order is placed before we receive the returned item.

If the exchange doesn't meet these conditions, we may only offer a partial refund or no refund, depending on the situation.

I received the wrong product, how can I return it?

If you received the wrong item, please email us at support@modernporchco.com with your order number, a picture of the incorrect item(s), and the packing slip. We will get back to you as soon as possible to resolve the issue!

Modern Porch Co. Limited Lifetime Warranty

For products purchased directly from modernporchco.com, Modern Porch Co. guarantees that our products are free from defects in materials and workmanship and are in perfect working order at the time of purchase. If any part is damaged or defective upon receipt, we will replace the specific part(s) free of charge.

Modern Porch Co. offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty on products with proof of purchase to the original owner. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and the failure of moving parts under normal use. If the product becomes defective for these reasons during your ownership, we will replace the item once it is returned to us.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by modification, accidents, abuse, or misuse of the product. Additionally, it does not apply to the following:

  • Vandalism, neglect, or using the product for purposes other than intended;
  • Surface rust, fading, corrosion, or environmental exposure, including salt air, road salt, and sprinklers;
  • Paint damage that may lead to surface rust (e.g., stone chips, scratches, installation errors, or the application of improper chemicals);
  • Acts of nature, improper use, faulty installation, or any alterations that could reasonably be expected to impact the performance of the structural and finish components;
  • Use of the product with items that are incompatible or negatively affect its performance; and/or
  • Lost keys.
